Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using ClinicalMetric. By accessing or using the platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the platform immediately.
ClinicalMetric is an informational platform only. Nothing on this site constitutes medical advice, a recommendation to enroll in any clinical trial, a diagnosis, or a treatment plan. Always consult a qualified, licensed healthcare professional before making any medical decision or enrolling in a clinical trial.
1. Who We Are
ClinicalMetric is operated by ClinicalMetric Intelligence Systems, a privately held company registered in Greece (GEMI: 181077901000), with registered address at Kerasountos 94, Aigaleo 12242, Greece. References to "ClinicalMetric," "we," "us," or "our" in these Terms refer to ClinicalMetric Intelligence Systems.
ClinicalMetric is an independent data intelligence platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorized by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Library of Medicine (NLM), ClinicalTrials.gov, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the European Medicines Agency (EMA), or any pharmaceutical company, hospital, healthcare institution, or government body.
2. Nature of the Service
ClinicalMetric aggregates publicly available clinical trial data sourced from ClinicalTrials.gov — the official U.S. registry and results database maintained by the National Library of Medicine — and presents it in a structured, searchable format. We supplement this data with editorial commentary, AI-generated summaries, and analysis articles produced by our research team.
The platform is provided for general informational and research purposes only. It is not a clinical trial registry, not a patient recruitment service, and does not facilitate or manage trial enrollment. ClinicalMetric does not contact sponsors on behalf of users, does not process health data submitted by users, and does not provide individualized medical guidance of any kind.
Access to the platform is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
3. Informational Use Only — Not Medical Advice
The content on ClinicalMetric — including trial summaries, editorial articles, condition pages, sponsor pages, phase descriptions, AI-generated briefings, and all other materials — is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute and must not be relied upon as:
- Medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendation
- A recommendation to enroll in, withdraw from, or alter participation in any clinical trial
- A substitute for consultation with a qualified, licensed physician or healthcare professional
- A guarantee of a trial's current enrollment status, eligibility criteria, or availability
- Legal, regulatory, or investment advice regarding any clinical trial or pharmaceutical product
You acknowledge that decisions about clinical trial participation involve complex medical, personal, and legal considerations that require direct consultation with qualified healthcare professionals. ClinicalMetric accepts no responsibility for decisions made based on content found on this platform.
4. Data Accuracy and Timeliness
Clinical trial data is sourced from the ClinicalTrials.gov API and is cached and refreshed daily. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, we make no warranties of any kind — express or implied — regarding the completeness, accuracy, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose of the information provided.
Clinical trial status, eligibility criteria, enrollment capacity, site contact details, and protocol requirements change frequently. A trial displayed as "Recruiting" on ClinicalMetric may have closed enrollment by the time you review it. Always verify current trial details directly on ClinicalTrials.gov before taking any action.
Editorial articles and Insights content reflect information available at the time of writing or most recent revision. We do not guarantee that articles reflect the most current regulatory status, trial outcomes, or scientific consensus. ClinicalMetric is not responsible for errors or omissions in the underlying data provided by ClinicalTrials.gov or other third-party sources.
5. AI-Generated Content
ClinicalMetric uses artificial intelligence — specifically the Claude API provided by Anthropic — to generate on-demand plain-language summaries of clinical trial protocols. These summaries are generated algorithmically from trial title, sponsor, phase, condition, and official brief summary fields sourced from ClinicalTrials.gov.
AI-generated content on this platform:
- May contain errors, omissions, or oversimplifications
- Does not represent the opinion of any physician, researcher, or regulatory authority
- Is not reviewed by medical professionals before delivery
- Should not be relied upon for any medical decision
- Is clearly labeled as AI-generated where it appears
By using the AI summary feature, you acknowledge that you understand its limitations and agree not to rely on it in place of professional medical evaluation.
6. Intellectual Property
The ClinicalMetric platform — including its design, layout, source code, editorial content, Insights articles, data structures, organization, and presentation — is the intellectual property of ClinicalMetric Intelligence Systems and is protected by Greek and international copyright, trademark, and database protection law.
Permitted uses: You may access and use the platform for personal, non-commercial research and informational purposes. You may share links to ClinicalMetric pages. You may quote brief extracts of editorial content for commentary, criticism, or news reporting, provided you clearly attribute ClinicalMetric and include a link to the source page.
Prohibited uses: You may not reproduce, republish, scrape, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from ClinicalMetric content without prior written permission. Systematic automated extraction of data ("scraping") is prohibited, including by bots, crawlers, or data collection tools, unless expressly authorized in writing. Mass reproduction of ClinicalMetric editorial content — including but not limited to Insights articles — for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited.
Underlying trial data sourced from ClinicalTrials.gov is in the public domain under U.S. government policy. ClinicalMetric's presentation, curation, classification, and editorial enrichment of that data are proprietary.

ClinicalMetric contains links to external websites, including ClinicalTrials.gov, pharmaceutical company websites, academic institutions, and affiliate partners (including Instrumentl and Fiverr). These links are provided for convenience only. ClinicalMetric does not control third-party sites and is not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability.

These commissions do not affect editorial content, trial listings, or search rankings on the platform. ClinicalMetric does not receive financial compensation from pharmaceutical sponsors for the listing or promotion of specific clinical trials.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ClinicalMetric Intelligence Systems, its directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from or in connection with:
- Your access to or use of (or inability to use) the platform

- Any action or inaction of third parties, including clinical trial sponsors, CROs, or site investigators
- Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data or transmissions
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if ClinicalMetric has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of liability for consequential damages; in such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ClinicalMetric Intelligence Systems and its officers, employees, contractors, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party; or (d) any content you submit to the platform including contact form messages.
11. Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of ClinicalMetric is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
ClinicalMetric does not collect health or medical data from users. We do not ask for, process, or store any information about your medical condition, treatment history, or trial eligibility. If you contact us via our contact form, we collect only the information you voluntarily provide (name and email address), which is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hellenic Republic (Greece) and applicable European Union law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of ClinicalMetric shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece. If you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence under applicable EU consumer protection law.
13. Changes to These Terms
ClinicalMetric reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
We recommend that you periodically review this page to stay informed of any changes. If you object to any modification, you must stop using ClinicalMetric.
14. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if modification is not possible, severed from these Terms — with the remaining provisions continuing in full force and effect.
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and Medical Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and ClinicalMetric Intelligence Systems with respect to your use of the platform and supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings.
